Just Stay Little

I made this little cutie for Ruth's Bedroom. It's a Sarah Jane Studios pattern and I love it!!!!! I'm currently working on another one of hers but I'm a little side tracked by Fall decor for the living room. I'm so excited for Fall I can hardly stand it.

Great Find

For months I've been looking for something to keep my current needle work in that wouldn't be an eye soar in my living room. There are obviously lots of options out there but I was looking for a GREAT price and I found it:) I went to the clearance isle at Walmart and found this large picnic basket sitting there just for me. The problem was it didn't have a price tag. Hoping for the best I took it to the check out with me. The manager happened to be close by and on finding out I had this basket she let me have it for $3 because she was sick of it coming up to the register and not being able to find a price for it. I love it!!!

Great Idea!!!

I follow a blog called kojodesigns and one of the things they do for fun when they get together, like on vacation, is have a drink making contest. My husband and I don't drink alchohol but we can totally do something else!! i.e. guacamole/salsa contest for a chip night or smoothies!! This would be PERFECT for Christmas or our family trip to the Outer Banks next Summer:) each family make's a different smoothie and we serve them in really small paper cups, then we can have several different flavors in one night!!

Great Idea

This looks like so much fun!! It's called Paper Doll Crib Quilt from bungalowquilts on Etsy. It comes with outfits and hats on felt that so it can double as a Wall Hanging or Play Mat!!! I love things that can be used in more than one way. BRILLIANT!!!!

Quick Shower gift

The night before a friends Baby Shower I decided I didn't like what I was going to give her so I whipped this little cutie up. Looking now I'm kinda sad I didn't iron it after I washed it but who wants a starched looking baby? I hope at some point I have a baby around the 4th of July so I can make another in red white and blue.

Belated Independence Day

I'm sad I didn't get this done in time to hang for the 4th but what I had put in the middle didn't work out. Originally I wanted to put in "Fweedom!" to pay homage to An American Tail but I didn't think anyone would get it. So then came the pickle of trying to figure out what to do instead. In the end this was what I came up with, not super original but hey it's the 4th. But it's done and can now be packed away and off my table:)

I was wondering around on etsy.com looking for some July 4th inspiration (post holiday finishing) when I came across these little pieces of joy. They make me want to watch Somewhere in Time:)
